About This Project
“Surface Tension” is a Global Game Jam 2025 project with the theme of “Bubble”, developed as a team of 2. I helped to develop the gameplay programming and UI. The game was completed within 72 hours within the submission deadline of the Jam.
What is Surface Tension?
Surface Tension is a survival game where a sunken sailor must reach the surface within a bubble without running out of a air or getting popped by sea creatures. Players are given a bubble that they must fill with air by tapping a key or button which determines how well they start off. Collect bubbles throughout the game to refill the meter!

What I Learned From This Project
-
In each jam I like to challenge myself by trying to make a more manageable game to know my limits and what to prioritize in order to reach my goal.
-
In the past, I’ve always made games with the intent to make them accessible, with this game, I finally took it upon myself to learn touch screen controls so that mobile players could enjoy my games.
